UX Design Project: Innovative Dining App Concept

This project was a grad school assignment for my UX design course. We were assigned teams and were tasked to create and design an app based on an area of tourism in Chicago.

My team and I wanted to create an app that was differentiated from what’s already on the market. While brainstorming, I thought about how I can’t eat gluten, my husband can’t eat dairy, and our challenge when it comes to eating out – especially while traveling. So, an idea was born! We decided to create a dining app to address those with dietary needs or preferences since it can be challenging for people like my husband and I, or anyone that prefers to eat a certain way. So, we set out to create an easy-to-use app.

Our deliverables included activities such as doing market research, user interviews, creating personas and user journeys, and creating prototypes for our finished app screens.
